Islamic organisations cares far less for the lives of its followers than it hates
its enemies.
They will send young men and women into situations where they are at risk
and then work to provoke a response knowing that the west will respond
and place pressure on the Egypt. Soldiers should not simply shoot protestors
but at the same time we have no way of knowing who fires the first shot and
our media is all but useless because of bias or simply incompetence.
A religion that promotes murder, suicide bombings, beheadings and
amputations, stoning, crushing discrimination, the overthrown of any other
religion and a host of other barbaric and uncivilised activities does not care
that the death toll is 50 or 500 or 5,000.
Most Religions go through a cycle from start to finish. Christianity has had
its crusades, its Inquisitions, its witch trials, its schisms, its heretic hunts.
Islam has managed to reach the 21st century without ever leaving the dark
ages and is still enacting all of the phases that Christianity has been through.
Radical Islam is the single greatest threat to civilisation in any country where it
takes hold.
The Muslim Brotherhood will stand in front of the western press and proclaim
how much they love democracy and how much they want peace then turn
around and bring death and destruction on anyone who stands in the way of the
path to a Caliphate.
How many of you saw the young men, boys really, who fled from a gang of Muslim
brotherhood supporters? How many of you have seen the pictures of them fleeing
to a roof where they were surrounded and where first one then another were
pushed off. When they survived the 20 foot drop they were surrounded and beaten.
How many of you saw the openly carried black flag of Al Qaeda? This is the face of
the Muslim Brotherhood not the well spoken men in suits who seem to be in front
of every camera in the west. These are the men who killed a boy for uttering a joke
about Mohammed, are these men who can be trusted to uphold the freedoms of a
democracy?
The Egyptians are faced with two choices. Submit to the words of the west, surrender
and accept the Muslim Brotherhood as rulers knowing full well that this will lead to
a Theocracy and the destruction of all they hold dear. Or struggle for freedom with
all that such a fight entails.
We have forgotten what it means to fight for a democracy where one has not
existed in living memory. We do not know how the men of Britain felt when they took
up arms to fight for Parliament against the soldiers and foreign mercenaries of the King.
We here in this safe and mostly democratic nation do not as yet live in fear of
death because we have said the wrong thing; worn clothing someone thinks is
inappropriate or chosen to follow the wrong religion. Our women do not fear to
walk the streets without being hidden behind hoods and veils though this is
starting in parts of London. We do not face death for our lifestyle choices. We can
mostly speak our minds without fearing a mob. Our children are mostly free from
brainwashing and indoctrination. The people of Egypt would like to live in the same
sort of world we take for granted.
This is a battle for the soul of Egypt. Whoever wins this fight will change the shape of
the entire middle east.
A truly free, democratic Egypt with law and justice to all free from Theocratic terror
and religious persecution will cast a long shadow across the whole of the middle
east. Men and women suffering under the tyranny of religious rule will be able to
look beyond their borders and see hope for themselves. The might of Egypt can
spread that freedom to the millions who still live under the fist and boot of Islam.
Or the battle could be lost and Egypt can fall back into tyranny. The tyranny of
religion. With the might of Egypt turned to spreading Islamic rule how long with
Iraq, Syria, Jordon and others last before they too find themselves ruled by
Tyrannical and merciless priests.
Call me racist if you wish but tell me what race is Islam.
Call me Fascist if you like but tell me why to call for freedom from tyranny makes
me the fascist.
Call me a warmonger if you wish but explain to me why a nation should be denied
the right to fight for its freedom from religious extremism.
The deaths in Egypt are tragic. But the true tragedy will be to force the men and
women of Egypt to surrender their freedoms.
This is their fight, please let them fight it.
