A few days ago I hosted a guest post by Pete Sutton titled 'What I have learned from debating with UKIP supporters'. In the interest of fairness I offered Rob a guest post to reply and he has chosen to do so with bullet points. To maintain transparency and accountability, I am being paid to host these guest posts and will happily declare the payment of chocolate chip cookies to any accountant or interested party. The management wishes all readers to know the comments below do not represent the views of the management, I'm big enough and ugly enough to speak for myself. What I know about UKIP supporters in Debates. A guest post by Rob Carver 1/ They don't change their minds. 2/ They are Patriotic. 3/ They realise that statistics can be manipulated anyway that is convenient. 4/ However hard that you try and taunt or anger them, they remain polite.... It’s far more fun watching you get upset. 5/ They realise that the whole EU experiment is corrupt and as long as the Bureaucrats set policy, UNDEMOCRATIC. 6/ They aren't going to change their minds ((it's a good one so I mentioned it twice). 7/ The current batch of UKIP MEPs spend on average about 123 hours a week with Families as they are working so Bloody Hard. 8/ Lots of the media spend more time pouring over what UKIP candidates said 10 years ago than actually doing the same with any other party or the shameful cover ups of MP's Expenses and the Westminster Scandals that the incumbent parties lurch into one after another. 9/ It is the Fastest Growing Party for membership in the UK . (Note from the management. I believe Rob means across the whole UK here, the SNP as a regional party is growing faster but only in Scotland.) 10/ It's Natural base of support is actually the Poorest of this nation, they seem to be waking up to this fact too. 11/ They are the only party that recognise and are WILLING to say that this country is now the most Overpopulated Nation in Europe. 12/ They also realise that our infra structure is now beginning to fail as EU policy refuses to allow us to control our own Immigration. 13/ The Media and all politicians who see the above call them racist, this is extremely ironic to a Jewish Gypsy I know who is standing for Parliament for them and his Brother who is an MEP on the Foreign Policy Committee at the EU (no guesses who that may be). 14/ The UK Party with the highest female and Minority membership per head as well as the Highest Representation of Ladies and Minorities per head than any other Party on the UK. 15/ The only Party that wishes Europe to recognise Khurdistan as an Independent Nation. 16/ The only Party in the UK to actively try to reform Bailiff Law to Protect the most Vulnerable People on this Country (how very Right wing !!) especially as Labour bought in the new and Draconian Laws. 17/ The only Party in the UK that is trying to find a way of reducing tension on Ukraine's borders. 18/ The only Party in the History of Parliament to have defectors stand down then re-fight their seats instead of just carrying on as if they were in the same party. 19/ The only Party with a will to make sure that the NHS is not sold off and to propose a way of preventing Health Tourism at the cost of the Public Purse. 20/ The only Party to suggest a sensible way of controlling Immigration in a sensible way, and if it's the way Canada, Australia, and New Zealand do it, does that make them Racists states ? In Closing, though I could go on, read the Manifesto when it is printed in January, I know that you will be pleasantly surprised. Thank You and may your God(s) go with you. BIO Robert ‘Rob’ Carver was born in 1965 of Jewish, Romany, Scottish and Cockney descent He had to give up a promising rugby career to see his younger brother through College and currently works as a full time Bailiff, he prides himself on always being compassionate and fair and he was the first Bailiff in the country to carry benefit packs and fill them out for those who could not read or write. He knows firsthand what it is like to try and survive on the breadline and what poverty truly means, both from his job and from personal experience. He honestly believes that UKIP is a party for all people of the United Kingdom, he knows that he is fighting for the poorest and most vulnerable of this land as the uncontrolled rush of migrants into this country stretches the resources of all of our infrastructure, and beloved institutions such as the NHS and drives down wages making the poorest poorer. He is a strong believer in the Union and a strong opponent of the EU Rob has been asked by UKIP to stand as the party candidate in the Tory safe seat of Beckenham at the general election. His Brother James Carver is a UKIP MEP. |
